A three-day Indo-French International Fest will be held in Bengaluru from August 25 to 27. This fest commemorates over five decades of cordial relations between India and France and highlights the cultural traditions of both the countries.
At this fest, Alliance Française de Bangalore will showcase the rich heritage of art and culture of both India and France. Film screenings, art exhibitions, music and dance performances and other cultural activities will be held as part of this fest spread over three days.
This fest is a preview to the bigger festival slated to be held in October, 2023.
On the inaugural day of the fest on August 25, a curtain-raiser performance will be presented by the French band Midnight Poppies.
Indo-French international fashion show, a wildlife exhibition by a French photographer and some awesome artworks by Indo-French artists will be featured at this fest.
A career fair for people will also be part of this fest, this fair would be a great opportunity for people to seek guidance on the study and career oportunities in France.
Kannada film Edegarike by Sumana Kittur will be featured at the film festival of this event. Around 12 national award-winning films will also be featured alongside regional Indian films from Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada industries.
Bengaluru based Art Mantram Trust will exhibit curated artworks by artists connected with France. These artists include Sujata Bajaj, Paresh Hazra, Gurudas Shenoy, Ramesh Terdal, Rajesh Baderia and many other artists.
