Fortunately, fire safety arrangements in place for the large-scale event allowed for a quick response. Several fire tenders stationed at the venue rushed to the site immediately and began rescue operations. Local authorities worked in coordination with the police and fire departments to bring the situation under control.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) was also deployed to support the fire officials in containing the blaze. Within a short period, the fire was successfully doused, preventing further damage.

While no casualties were reported, the incident raised concerns about safety protocols at the world’s largest religious gathering. Officials have assured enhanced measures to prevent such occurrences in the future as devotees continue to flock to the Maha Kumbh Mela.
