Emphasizing the promotion of millet cultivation, Chaluvarayaswamy highlighted a Producers-Marketers Consultative Meeting aimed at strengthening market linkages for Karnataka's organic and millet products. This year’s fair will feature 300 stalls, with 141 buyers and 125 sellers already registered for B2B meetings.

Key attractions include live demonstrations of millet processing, value addition, and advanced technologies presented by institutes such as the Indian Institute of Millets Research and the Central Food Technological Research Institute. A special exhibit will showcase traditional landraces cultivated by generations of farmers, with 30 indigenous farmers displaying their unique produce.

The fair will also host a Soil Pedon Pavilion to educate visitors about soil properties, classification, and its critical role in agriculture.

Karnataka, with 18.37 lakh hectares under millet cultivation, ranks second in India after Rajasthan in millet production. The event underscores the state’s commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture and increasing millet production to meet rising global demand.

The International Trade Fair - Organics and Millets 2025 aims to create new opportunities for farmers, marketers, and researchers while promoting awareness about the benefits of millets and organic farming.
