Intestinal cancer, believed to be a rare cancer, is increasingly becoming common among people in the recent times. “In Bengaluru, out of a lakh people, 8 to 10 people are found to be suffering from intestinal cancer.” according to a study by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). This has alarmed many people and has left them worried about this cancer.

As we all know cancer cannot be cured, but can only be controlled. Doctors attribute unhealthy food and diet habits as a cause for intestinal cancer in people.

The major cause for intestinal cancer is eating a high-fat diet. Non-vegetarians, in particular, must exercise more caution while consuming non-vegetarian food mindlessly as non-vegetarian food has high fats.

Intestinal cancer symptoms include pain in the abdominal region, regular stomach ache, nausea, weight loss, fatigue, anemia and jaundice. If you see any of these symptoms in you, it is advisable to consult an expert doctor in intestinal cancer and take preventive measures before its too late to be cured.

Maintaining healthy habits, a healthy dietary regime and regular exercise on a daily basis can go a long way in preventing yourself from any type of cancer.
