Apple continued its dominance in the smartphone market in 2024, with its devices occupying six of the top ten spots in global sales. The iPhone 15 was the highest-selling smartphone of the year, followed by the iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro in second and third place, respectively.

Samsung also made a strong impact, particularly in the mid-range segment. The Galaxy A15 5G secured the fourth position, emerging as the best-selling Android device of the year. Its 4G variant, the Galaxy A15 4G, also made the list at number six, highlighting strong demand for affordable smartphones.
Interestingly, despite being unreleased, the iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPhone 16 Pro managed to claim the fifth and ninth spots, respectively. This suggests high pre-order demand or early sales contributing to their ranking.
Premium flagship models such as the Galaxy S24 Ultra took the seventh spot, while the previous-generation iPhone 14 still performed well, ranking eighth. Samsung’s budget-friendly Galaxy A05 rounded off the list at tenth place.
Apple’s stronghold on the premium market remains evident, while Samsung’s affordable Galaxy A-series continues to attract consumers. The rankings reflect ongoing consumer preference for a mix of cutting-edge flagship models and budget-friendly devices in the smartphone industry.
