In this season’s 36th IPL match between KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders) and RCB (Royal Challengers Bengaluru), RCB won the toss and chose to bowl first.

As the KKR began to bat, the openers Phil Salt and Sunil Narine gave a good start for their team with Phil hitting 48 runs in just 14 balls. He lost his wicket in the fifth over when the score stood at 63.

In the next four overs KKR lost 3 more wickets. Shreyas Iyer scored half century in 35 balls for KKR in the 17th over.

RCB bowlers could control the batting lineup of KKR without letting them hit runs like they did against SRH. Yash Dayal and Cameron Green picked up two wickets each for RCB.

KKR put up a target of 222 runs for RCB to chase to be victorious.

RCB had a disappointing start as Virat Kohli lost his wicket in the 3rd over by scoring 18 runs in 7 balls. Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar gave a good standing for RCB as they both scored half century and RCB’s score was 100 in 9 overs for a loss of two wickets. In the next four overs RCB lost four wickets when they were 155 for 6 wickets in 13 overs.

Dinesh Karthik could score only 25 runs off 18 balls and was dismissed by Andre Russell in the 19th over when RCB needed 21 runs to win in the last over.

Though Karn Sharma made all his efforts to win the match with hitting 3 sixes, he was dismissed, however even as RCB needed 3 runs from the last ball, it lost the match by 1 run.
