To ensure public safety and prevent any untoward incidents, a massive security operation has been put in place. A total of 1,600 police personnel will be deployed in and around the stadium, including 4 DCPs, 12 ACPs, 28 inspectors, 80 sub-inspectors, and over 1,200 constables. Four Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) squads and several Home Guards will also be on duty.
Specialised units such as the Quick Reaction Team (QRT), bomb disposal squads, water jet units, and dog squads will patrol the stadium premises. Bomb and dog squads will conduct checks every two hours leading up to the match.
Security has also been heightened on major routes around the stadium, including Queen’s Road, Cubbon Park Junction, MG Road, Brigade Road, and Church Street. Plainclothes officers will be stationed to monitor crowd behaviour and curb the circulation of fake tickets.
Authorities have assured that all necessary precautions are being taken to ensure a smooth and safe IPL experience for fans and players alike.
