Ishan Kishan delivered a commanding performance to guide Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to an imposing 231/6 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their IPL 2025 clash in Lucknow.

SRH got off to a rapid start but stumbled early, losing both openers—Abhishek Sharma (34 off 17) and Travis Head (17 off 10)—with the score at 54. However, Kishan anchored the innings with a scintillating unbeaten 94 from just 48 balls. His innings featured seven boundaries and five sixes, steering the Hyderabad side out of a mid-innings slump and into a dominant position.

Romario Shepherd briefly halted SRH’s momentum with a tidy spell, claiming 2 wickets for just 14 runs in his two overs. Despite that, Kishan’s aggression ensured the runs kept flowing. The late-order fireworks came courtesy of Aniket Verma, who smashed 26 off just nine balls, pushing SRH past the 230-run mark.

Kishan’s knock was crucial in setting a daunting target for RCB, who now face an uphill battle in the chase. His calculated stroke play and ability to find boundaries at will proved vital in resurrecting the innings and building scoreboard pressure.

With this commanding total, Sunrisers Hyderabad have sent a strong message to the rest of the league, while Royal Challengers will need a monumental batting effort to stay in the hunt.
