The BCCI has officially released the schedule for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, set to begin on March 22. The opening match will feature Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) taking on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). A total of 74 matches will be played across 13 venues in India.

Following the season opener, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will face Mumbai Indians (MI) in Chennai on March 23, with Rajasthan Royals (RR) clashing against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on the same day. The tournament will also see matches hosted in Visakhapatnam, Guwahati, and Dharamsala, where Delhi Capitals (DC), Punjab Kings (PBKS), and RR will play their home games.
The BCCI has ensured key rivalries will be in focus, with two matches scheduled between CSK and MI, as well as CSK and RCB. The league stage will conclude on May 18, leading into the playoffs. Hyderabad and Kolkata will host the knockout stages, with the first qualifier and eliminator in Hyderabad, while the second qualifier and final will be held in Kolkata.
In a unique twist, the final on May 25 will be hosted at the home ground of the defending champions, KKR, as they won the 2024 IPL title. Fans can expect another thrilling season of cricket as the countdown to IPL 2025 begins.
