The second day of the IPL 2025 auction witnessed a flurry of activity as franchises strategically bolstered their squads. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) made significant acquisitions, focusing on experienced all-rounders and bowlers to strengthen their lineup.

RCB successfully secured Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the seasoned Indian pacer, for ₹10.75 crore. Known for his accuracy and death-over expertise, Bhuvneshwar is expected to play a crucial role in RCB’s bowling unit. Additionally, all-rounder Krunal Pandya, renowned for his match-winning contributions, was acquired for ₹5.75 crore, adding depth to the team.
RCB utilized the Right to Match (RTM) option to retain Swapnil Singh for ₹50 lakh. The franchise also added international firepower by bagging explosive batter Tim David for ₹3 crore and dynamic Caribbean all-rounder Romario Shepherd for ₹1.5 crore. To further bolster their pace attack, RCB brought in Sri Lankan seamer Nuwan Thushara for ₹1.6 crore.
The auction day also saw other major signings, including Liam Livingstone for ₹8.75 crore and Phil Salt for ₹11.50 crore. While the competition among franchises remains intense, RCB’s focus on versatility and balance was evident.
With a mix of experience and emerging talent, RCB’s revamped squad aims to chase their elusive IPL title in the upcoming season.
