Tensions between the United States and Iran have escalated sharply after Iran accused the US of launching direct strikes on its nuclear facilities. The incident came to global attention during an emergency session of the United Nations Security Council held last night, where Iran’s envoy Amir Saeed Iravani issued a strong warning to the US.

Iravani, representing Tehran at the UN, condemned what he termed as an act of aggression carried out under the guise of support for Israel. He stated that the US had crossed a red line by siding with Israel and conducting attacks on Iranian soil, warning that such actions could destabilize regional peace and provoke serious consequences.

In his address, Iravani emphasized that Iran would not remain silent. He declared that Iran will respond at a time, in a manner, and at a scale determined by its armed forces. "We will take every necessary step to defend our sovereignty and protect our people," he asserted.

Iran’s warning comes amid already strained diplomatic ties, with accusations that the US has severely damaged any prospect of peaceful negotiation by backing Israel's military campaigns in the region. The Iranian delegation stressed that this support was not only provocative but also a direct threat to Iran’s national security and regional stability.

Iran has vowed that retaliation is inevitable, and the nature of its response will be determined by military leadership. While the timing remains uncertain, officials made it clear that any future response would be calculated and strategic.
