When to drink milk
While drinking milk on an empty stomach can have several health problems, it shouldn't be considered as a bad food completely. Even as per Ayurveda, Dr Ananya Kadambini, MD Ayurveda, Prashanthi Ayurvedic Hospital, says milk should not be consumed in empty stomach but always after food. Even drinking milk just before sleeping is not recommended for all because of its kapha nature. Even if we do consuming it with turmeric helps, adds Dr Ananya.
Have milk in your breakfast with some other foods. You can pair this drink with some biscuits, a bowl of fruit, and granola. You can also add milk to your post-workout smoothie and to your bedtime drink. Remember, it's only bad when you consume it on an empty stomach. However, milk is important for your body and overall health. Just consume it wisely.
