An alleged ploy to tarnish the reputation of Karnataka’s popular Nandini dairy brand is reportedly unfolding in Delhi. Local dealers in the capital are said to be orchestrating efforts to hinder the brand's growing sales by ensuring its products do not reach consumers.

Nandini, which entered the Delhi market on November 21 amid high demand for its quality milk products, has been selling 10,000 to 11,000 litres daily. The milk is available in Green, Orange, and Blue packets, catering to diverse customer needs. This surge in demand appears to have unsettled local vendors, prompting disruptive tactics.

According to sources, a 300-member team has been formed with the sole objective of buying Nandini products and discarding them. These individuals reportedly purchase the milk in bulk and then dump it on the roads, aiming to create an artificial shortage and harm the brand's reputation.

Despite the challenges, Nandini has maintained a steady supply in the market. The Karnataka Milk Federation, known for its commitment to quality, has not issued an official response to the alleged sabotage.

The deliberate wastage of milk has sparked concerns about unfair trade practices and unethical competition in the dairy industry, raising questions about the lengths to which some vendors may go to maintain their market share. Authorities have yet to intervene in the matter.
