A team of 18 members from the Bangalore Political Action Committee (BPAC) has been stranded in Tel Aviv, Israel, due to the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict, which has severely disrupted international flight operations in the region. The group had traveled to Israel on an educational and policy exposure tour and was scheduled to return to Bengaluru last Friday via Dubai.

However, as tensions between Israel and Iran escalated, flight services were abruptly halted, leaving the BPAC team unable to depart from Israel. The team has now remained in Tel Aviv for nearly a week beyond their planned return date.

Speaking exclusively to NewsFirst Prime, members of the group confirmed that they are safe and in regular contact with both Indian Embassy officials in Tel Aviv and Karnataka government representatives. Embassy staff and Bengaluru-based officials have been working together to explore alternative routes and make necessary arrangements for their safe return.

The group, which includes young professionals and civic leaders, is now hopeful that they will be able to return to India within the next four days, depending on how quickly travel operations can be restored or alternate flights are arranged.

Officials from the Indian embassy are currently staying with the team and ensuring their security and comfort during the crisis. Family members back in Bengaluru remain anxious but are reassured by frequent updates from both the group and authorities.
