Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ramesh Jarkiholi who was away from the limelight ever since the Congress government took charge in Karnataka has now made serious allegations on Deputy Chief Minister (DCM) DK Shivakumar. He participated in a demonstration against the government in the Kagwad constituency in the Belagavi district. It was held in the Rani Chennamma Circle. “The state government is practising the politics of hate. DK Shivakumar filed a complaint against me under Section 420 of the IPC. However this is inconsequential. It is beyond DK Shivakumar to cause harm to me,” Jarkiholi stated.
He however had a soft corner for CM Siddaramaiah. He indicated that his hands were tied on account of DK Shivakumar being the DCM. “In case DK Shivakumar ws the CM instead of Siddaramaiah he would have sold the Belagavi district. He tried to frame me in the CD case prior to this. Now he is trying to harm using the power he has acquired. This will however have bearing on the Lok Sabha election which will be held later this year,” Jarkiholi added.
Jarkiholi expressed confidence in the BJP securing victory in the Athani, Kagvad and Kudachi constituencies.
