Jail officials to oppose Darshan’s request for home-made food in Parappana Agrahara prison

The Sandalwood actor Darshan also referred to as the Challenging Star has been faced with innumerable challenges in the case pertaining to the murder of Renukaswamy. More than 200 pieces of evidence is said to have been collected by the police during their investigation. Some of the material collected as evidence has been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for further examination. The police are awaiting the FSL reports in this regard. 

Many of the materials collected as evidence came to the police’s notice when they carried out spot inspections. 66 such materials have been sent to the FSL. These include the dress worn by Renukaswamy when his body was found, his footwear, blood marks and hair samples. The fingerprints of the suspects and the mobile phones of Darshan and actress Pavithra have also been sent for examination.

The report is expected to be released within a week’s time. The FSL report will play a key role in the chargesheet which the police would submit. On the other hand, jail officials are preparing to file an affidavit in the court expressing reservation over Darshan’s request for home food during his stay in the Parappana Agrahara Prison. The court has also sought an update on Darshan’s health and daily routine.
