As tensions between India and Pakistan continue to escalate, the Jaisalmer district administration has announced emergency measures aimed at ensuring public safety and supporting defence operations in the border region.

Authorities have also imposed a total ban on vehicular movement during the night. This includes all two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers. Officials stated that the restriction is vital to reduce visibility and prevent any unintended incidents amid heightened security concerns.

Furthermore, a strict no-entry zone has been declared within a 5-kilometre radius surrounding key defence establishments. Only authorised personnel will be permitted access to this high-security area.

Local police and paramilitary forces have been deployed to enforce the directives, and residents have been urged to cooperate fully. Emergency services will remain operational under special permissions.

The measures come amid growing security concerns along the India-Pakistan border, prompting increased vigilance across sensitive zones. Officials reiterated that these steps are precautionary and requested the public to remain calm and alert.
