The split comes just two years after the couple rekindled their romance and tied the knot, reigniting the “Bennifer” frenzy that captivated fans in the early 2000s.

The 55-year-old pop star and actress filed the divorce papers in a Los Angeles court, with sources confirming the news to Variety and TMZ. Representatives for both Lopez and Affleck, 52, have remained silent on the matter, declining to comment publicly.

This marked the fourth marriage for Lopez and the second for Affleck. The couple first met in 2002 on the set of the film “Gigli,” sparking a media frenzy as their relationship unfolded. They were engaged in 2003 but called off their wedding and split in early 2004.

After nearly two decades apart, the pair rekindled their relationship in 2021, much to the delight of fans. They were married in a low-key Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022, followed by a lavish celebration at Affleck’s Georgia estate.

However, rumours of trouble in paradise began circulating earlier this year. TMZ reports that the couple listed their date of separation as April 26, 2024, and are reportedly no longer on speaking terms.
