The trailer opens with Alia’s character, Satya, receiving a distressing call from her brother Ankur, portrayed by Vedang. As she reassures him, the tension escalates when Ankur is shown in court, facing a grim sentence of “death by electrocution in three months.”

Directed by Vasan Bala, Jigra is set to hit theaters on October 11, 2024. This film marks Vedang’s second project following his debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. Additionally, Jigra is Alia Bhatt’s second production venture, co-produced with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, following her successful 2022 film, Darlings.
