According to police sources, Yashas, who is married and a father of two, had developed an obsession with Harini. The relationship had turned sour recently after Harini began distancing herself, reportedly following an altercation at Yashas’ home regarding their affair.
On Friday, Yashas allegedly lured Harini to an Oyo hotel room under the pretext of talking things out. Harini arrived without informing her family. During their meeting, she is said to have told him to end the relationship and stay away from her. Enraged, Yashas reportedly told her, "If I can't have you, no one else can," before fatally stabbing her with a knife.
The gruesome murder was reported to the Subrahmanyapura Police Station, which immediately launched an investigation. Yashas was arrested shortly after and remains in police custody as the investigation continues.
The incident has sent shockwaves across the Kengeri community, highlighting the deadly consequences of toxic relationships.
