After six long years, NTR’s solo release has generated significant buzz, and early reports suggest it could become a massive box office success. Devara marks NTR’s first film since his collaboration with SS Rajamouli in RRR.

Interestingly, Devara shares a notable connection with Jr NTR’s earlier career milestone. His debut with Rajamouli in Student No. 1 also premiered on September 27, 2001, marking an important parallel.

As Devara received rave responses, Rajamouli’s son, Karthikeya, took to social media to celebrate this historic achievement. In his post on X, Karthikeya noted how NTR has finally broken the 23-year-old “Rajamouli jinx.”

He tweeted, “23 years of MYTH…Finally it was broken where it all began by the MAN HIMSELF on the SAME DAY again.” Karthikeya further expressed his admiration for NTR, highlighting his growth and contribution to Telugu cinema, calling the occasion “the biggest mass celebration in cinema.”

The “Rajamouli jinx” refers to stars who, after scoring a hit with Rajamouli, struggled to find success with their subsequent release. NTR, however, appears to have shattered that myth with Devara.
