Jr NTR's much-anticipated film Devara: Part 1, directed by Koratala Siva, hit theatres on September 27, receiving mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike. The actor, in a recent interview, shared his thoughts on the reception of the film and expressed concerns about how audiences engage with cinema today.

Reflecting on the shift in how films are perceived, Jr NTR pointed out that the modern audience seems to have lost the "innocent" way of simply enjoying movies. "We as an audience have become very negative these days. We are not able to enjoy a film in an innocent manner anymore," the actor said, adding that his own children, in contrast, watch movies purely for the joy they bring without overthinking or analysing them, as reported by India Today.
The RRR star further elaborated on the growing trend of over-analysis in cinema consumption. "Every film today, we are watching it to analyse. We are all constantly judging, analysing, and overthinking about films. Maybe our exposure to cinema has made us like this," he observed. However, Jr NTR remains hopeful that this trend will eventually balance out, stating that the current critical approach might reach an extreme before correcting itself.
Devara: Part 1 continues to perform at the box office, but the actor's comments underline a broader conversation about audience expectations and the evolving nature of film consumption.
