Kalki 2898 AD surpasses Gadar 2’s lifetime earnings, grosses Rs 536.75 crore

In a major box office triumph, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone's sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD has outperformed Sunny Deol’s blockbuster Gadar 2. Within 14 days of its release, Kalki 2898 AD has amassed approximately Rs 536.75 crore at the Indian box office, surpassing Gadar 2's total of Rs 525.7 crore.

The film's earnings saw a robust start, grossing Rs 414.85 crore in its opening week. Following this, Kalki 2898 AD secured Rs 16.7 crore on its second Friday, Rs 34.15 crore on Saturday, Rs 44.35 crore on Sunday, Rs 10.4 crore on Monday, and Rs 8.8 crore on Tuesday. The Telugu and Hindi markets have been particularly lucrative, contributing Rs 252.1 crore and Rs 229.05 crore, respectively.

Globally, Kalki 2898 AD has already surpassed the Rs 900 crore mark in gross collections, outperforming Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. Directed and written by Nag Ashwin, the film revolves around Bhairava, a bounty hunter in a futuristic world ruled by the Supreme Yaskin.

The ensemble cast includes Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Brahmanandam, Vijay Devarakonda, and Mrunal Thakur. Released on June 27 in multiple languages—Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and English—Kalki 2898 AD continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
