The film faced stiff competition at the box office from “Sarfira,” directed by Sudha Kongara. “Sarfira” is a Hindi remake of Kongara’s National Award-winning Tamil film “Soorarai Pottru,” and stars Akshay Kumar, Radhika Madan, Paresh Rawal, and Seema Biswas.
Lyca Productions, the makers of “Indian 2,” celebrated the film’s release by sharing photos from the premiere on Instagram, captioning the post, “Stars converge at the Indian 2 premiere show. The excitement is off the charts.” Among the notable attendees was actor Siddharth, who arrived with his fiancée Aditi Rao Hydari. The couple, who co-starred in the 2021 romantic action film “Maha Samudram,” confirmed their engagement in March this year after sparking relationship rumors in 2022.
