At the trailer launch event for her forthcoming film “Emergency,” Kangana Ranaut, who stars as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and also directed the film, expressed a keen interest in working with Bollywood’s iconic Khans.

Ranaut revealed her ambition to produce and direct a movie featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan, aiming to highlight their acting prowess and visual appeal while delivering a socially significant message.

Ranaut, known for her outspoken views on the Khans, acknowledged their contributions to the film industry but also emphasized her belief that their artistic capabilities are underutilized. “I would love to create a film that not only showcases their acting skills but also presents them in a new light. They are incredibly talented, and I believe there’s more to explore beyond their current roles,” she stated.

While expressing admiration for the Khans’ impact, Ranaut also reminisced about the late actor Irfan Khan, whom she deeply regrets not having had the opportunity to direct. “Irfan Khan was one of my favorite Khans, and I will always miss him,” she said.

In a candid moment, Ranaut also touched upon her experiences with industry boycotts, noting the challenges she faces in finding support and collaboration. Her upcoming film “Emergency,” which features an ensemble cast including Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, and the late Satish Kaushik, is scheduled for release on September 6, 2024.
