The release date places Emergency just ahead of Republic Day, potentially sparking competition with Akshay Kumar's Sky Force, which is set for the holiday weekend.
Despite its ambitious scope, the film has faced hurdles, including backlash from Sikh groups and a delayed certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Originally scheduled for September 5, the postponement led to financial setbacks for the production team.
Produced by Zee Studios and Kangana’s Manikarnika Films, Emergency marks her second directorial effort after Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The film promises a gripping exploration of one of India’s most turbulent political chapters.
