Directed by Siva, Kanguva stars Suriya in a compelling double role as a fearless warrior, set against both historical and contemporary backdrops. This marks the Tamil debut of Bollywood stars Bobby Deol and Disha Patani. Deol takes on the menacing role of Udhiran, a villainous character with a chilling presence. Meanwhile, Patani's role promises a fresh departure from her usual glamorous appearances, adding depth to the film’s dual timelines.
Produced by Studio Green’s Gnanavel Raja and UV Creations' Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati, Kanguva has spared no expense. Reports reveal that Suriya received approximately Rs 39 crore, plus a share in profits, while Bobby Deol and Disha Patani were paid Rs 5 crore and Rs 3 crore, respectively.
The film's scale is further amplified by its international shoot locations across seven countries, enlisting Hollywood experts to perfect the action and cinematography for its massive battle scenes, featuring over 10,000 extras. With plans for a release in ten languages, Kanguva is positioned to deliver an immersive, larger-than-life experience to audiences worldwide.
