Kannada-dubbed version of Jailer earns more than Rs 5 crore

The Kannada-dubbed version of Jailer has collected Rs 5.02 crore in the 19 days since its release. This has been the highest for the Kannada dubbed version of any film with no other film even having crossed the Rs 4 crore mark so far. Only 3 other films have even crossed the Rs 2 crore mark. Dabangg 3 that had collected Rs 2.3 crore, Adipurush that had collected Rs 2.41 crore and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy that collected Rs 3.5 crore are the films that breached the Rs 2 crore mark. 

A massive demand for the Kannada dubbed version has emerged in the Mysuru region. Even 19 days after its release the film has managed to retain 40 shows across the region. The total number of shows for the film is 365 after 19 days of release. It has crossed the collections of Avatar 2 in Karnataka making it 4th among non-Kannada films in the state with the top 3 having been directed by Rajamouli. 

The cameo of Shiva Rajkumar making waves could be one reason that can be attributed to the success of the Kannada  dubbed version. Earlier, Shivarajukmar had visited a theatre in Mysuru without bodyguards and clicked selfies with fans and even had an interaction with the media after the screening of the film.
