The streaming giant and Sharma jointly announced the much-anticipated comeback on Wednesday, August 21, via social media. A special video featuring the show’s iconic cast, including Archana Puran Singh and Sunil Grover, was released to mark the occasion.

Netflix shared the exciting news on Instagram, stating, “Ab shanivaar hoga ‘Funnyvaar’ ‘cuz Kapil and gang are coming with double fun and hassi iss baar (Now Saturdays will be fun as Kapil and gang are coming with double the fun and laughter). Season 2 coming soon! Stay tuned.”
