Ravi was reportedly driven around Belagavi district overnight before being presented at a local court. The case was later transferred to the People’s Representative Court in Bengaluru, where he sought bail. Simultaneously, Ravi filed an appeal with the Karnataka High Court to quash the FIR.

While the People’s Representative Court adjourned his bail plea to the following day, the High Court granted interim relief, ordering his immediate release. The court expressed dissatisfaction with the conduct of both Ravi and Hebbalkar, as well as the manner of the arrest, criticizing the lack of prior notice given to Ravi.

The tumultuous sequence of events saw Ravi approach three courts within a day, enduring significant legal and political turbulence before securing relief. The High Court’s intervention has provided temporary respite for the BJP MLC, allowing him to regroup after an eventful and challenging 24 hours.
