In a shocking incident, an accident between a Tempo Traveller and a Lorry resulted in the death of 13 people. The incident occurred at the Gundenahalli village located in the Byadgi Taluk of the Haveri district. The deceased individuals have been identified as belonging to the Yemmahatti village that falls under the Bhadravathi Taluk of the Shivamogga district. All the deceased members belong to the same family. All members of the family except the daughter of Vishalakshi who’s bound to a wheelchair on account of being affected by polio have died. 

Negligent driving by the driver of the Tempo Traveller has been stated as the reason for the accident. The driver named Adarsh also died in this accident. Adarsh was not married. 21-year-old Adrash was the first son of his parents. He had plans of getting married after constructing a house.

The incident occurred at 4 AM on 28th June. Possible drowsiness at this juncture could have resulted in the accident. The need to keep one’s eyes on the road becomes much more necessary especially in the rainy season. Adarsh had posted a selfie on his status from the Tulja Bhavani temple just 2 days back. He had visited the Chinchali Mayakka temple in the Savadatti Yellamma town on 27th June.
