According to sources, Vishal sought blessings for his health and prayed for strength. The temple priest advised him to return to Sri Kshetra and serve as a sevakta (volunteer), to which Vishal agreed. Speaking to the media, the actor shared his excitement about witnessing the Nema for the first time. He revealed that he had learned about the festival through the movie Kantara and was eager to experience the spiritual energy of the ritual in person.

Prior to attending the event, Vishal had also visited the Kollur Mookambika temple. He expressed admiration for the Tulu film industry's growth and acknowledged its increasing influence beyond Karnataka.

The Haripade Jarandaya deity is known for immense power, and during the festival, devotees attempt to control the palanquin—an act believed to test divine strength. Inspired by the temple’s traditions, Vishal promised to offer Tulabhara service after his health improves, further deepening his spiritual connection.
