Protests held against release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu

Vatal Nagaraj sported a burqa while holding a clay pot on his head during the ongoing Karnataka bandh to protest against the release of Cauvery river water to Tamil Nadu.

 

Protesters in Nelamangala held the protest rally by striding buffaloes. This rally was led by actor Vinod Rajkumar and Praveen Shetty of Karnataka Rakshana Vedika.

Children held a protest rally in Anekal and Attibele by dressing up in yellow and red coloured clothing and called out slogans against release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu.

Protesters in Mandya held the protest rally by carrying rock block on their head and blocked the highway.

Protesters at Freedom Park in Bengaluru protested by venting their anger against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister by garlanding his effigy with footwear and also burnt the effigy.

Protesters held a protest rally on old Mysuru-Bengaluru highway in Mandya by calling out slogans against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.

Protesters at Town Hall held protests by tying their eyes with black cloth and also broke the window pane of a BMTC bus.

Protesters in Chamarajanagar held the protest by stopping Tamil Nadu vehicles and tore the posters of Tamil films.

Protesters in Chikkamagaluru burnt the effigies of CM Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar to protest  against government’s failure to negotiate Cauvery water sharing dispute.

A number of Sandalwood actors also took part in the protests by showing their solidarity with farmers and people of Karnataka on Cauvery water sharing dispute.
