A rally will be undertaken in Mandya in light of a Hanuman flag being replaced by an Indian flag in the  Keragodu region of the Mandya district. Security arrangements have been made along the route of the rally and in the District Commissioner's office. Along with workers of the BJP and the JD(S) parties, an attendance of 10,000 is expected in the rally. Under the lead of Superintendent of Police (SP) N. Yatish, more than 400 police officials including Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP) and Inspectors will be involved in the provision of security.

BJP State President B.Y Vijayendra gave a call to party workers to organise protests across all districts. Demonstrations took place in Bengaluru as well. “Karnataka is the birthplace of Lord Hanuma. They have a hatred for saffron. They have a hatred for Lord Ram. They say that every city has a temple of Lord Ram. Every city also has a church and a mosque. The villagers themselves arranged for a Hanuman flag. What is their issue? They filed a suo-moto case to have it dislodged. While replacing it with an Indian flag, they did not even sing the national anthem. Ravi Gadiga must be arrested. The government must apologise to Hindus,” BJP leader NR Ramesh said. The police detained protesters near the Mysore Bank in Bengaluru.
