Karnataka: BJP leader found dead under mysterious circumstances in Maharashtra border

The dead body of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader from Karnataka was found on the borders of Maharashtra under mysterious circumstances. The deceased individual has been identified as Dhondirama Chandivale. He served as a BJP leader in the Lakhangaon village in the Bhalki taluk in the Bidar district of Karnataka. He was also a Yoga instructor. Many injuries were observed on his face when his body was recovered.

His body was found on a highway near the Umarga town in the Osmanabad district of Maharashtra. The Maharashtra Police gathered information about the deceased individual on the basis of a bus ticket found in his pocket. His family members were later informed about the incident. Dhondirama conducted free Yoga camps in the Shaahi Garden in Bidar for some years in the recent past. He is believed to have campaigned for a BJP ticket in the 2023 Vidhana Sabha Elections. He however did not succeed in his efforts. A case has been registered in the Umarga Police Station. An investigation is underway with regard to this incident.
