Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has firmly stated that he will continue in office for the full five-year term, aiming to end weeks of political speculation about a possible leadership change in the state. His remarks come at a time when discussions about replacing the Chief Minister have resurfaced, with several legislators openly commenting on the issue.

The timing of Siddaramaiah’s statement is significant, especially following a key meeting held by senior Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala. While details of that meeting remain confidential, the Chief Minister’s declaration appears intended to send a clear message of political stability and continuity.

In parallel, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar issued a sharp warning to party members, emphasizing that no one should be making statements about becoming the next Chief Minister. He added that disciplinary action, including notices, could be issued to those making such claims, underlining the party's intent to control internal dissent.

With both top leaders presenting a united front, the Congress appears to be signaling that there will be no change in leadership and that the current government will continue its full term without interruption. Siddaramaiah’s assertion is seen as a move to calm political tensions and reinforce confidence among party workers and the public.
