The Karnataka Assembly witnessed dramatic scenes as tensions flared between BJP MLC CT Ravi and Congress MLA Lakshmi Hebbalkar, following allegations that Ravi used inappropriate language (prost****e)against Hebbalkar. The incident sparked outrage among Hebbalkar’s supporters, leading to massive protests at the Suvarna Soudha premises.

As CT Ravi arrived at the venue, Hebbalkar’s supporters attempted to gherao him, escalating the situation further. Police had to intervene to ensure his safety and prevent the situation from spiraling out of control, as some protesters reportedly tried to attack him.

CT Ravi denied the accusations, stating that he holds great respect for women and dismissed the allegations as baseless attempts to divert attention from other issues. The altercation occurred amidst ongoing protests by Congress against Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s alleged remarks on Ambedkar, adding to the charged atmosphere in the Assembly.

The heated exchange between Ravi and Hebbalkar escalated into a verbal clash, resulting in a chaotic environment in the Assembly. The incident underscores the growing friction between political factions, highlighting the challenges of maintaining decorum during heated debates. Police remain on alert to prevent further disruptions as both parties continue to trade barbs over the controversial exchange.
