Revanna was represented by CV Nagesh.

The case

Revanna was arrested in relation to the abduction of a 47-year-old woman. She was confined in a farmhouse in Mysuru district.

A complaint in this regard was filed by her 20-year-old son at the Krishnarajanagar police station.

The JD(S) leader was arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) 9 days ago as a local court refused to grant him bail. His custody ended last Wednesday when he was sent to judicial custody.

Though arguments began last Thursday in relation to his bail, a series of court holidays led to his continued stay in the jail. It is today that the court took up the hearing again.

Prajwal Revanna still untraceable

Revanna’s son Prajwal Revanna, accused of rape and filming the content, continues to remain absconding. It is reported that he was in Germany. He had even put out a post on X, informing SIT sleuths that he would be in the city in seven days. But even to this day, he remains elusive.

A Blue Corner Notice has been issued against him.
