A 35-year-old engineer, Pramod, died by suicide by jumping into the Hemavati River on December 29 amid a family dispute. Police recovered his body along the riverbank, along with important documents left near his parked bike.

Pramod had left his house on December 29, leaving his phone behind. Using credentials found in his passbook, authorities contacted his parents to inform them of the tragedy. His family has alleged that his wife, Nandini, played a role in the events leading to his death.

The case has drawn comparisons to a similar incident involving Atul Subhash, who died by suicide after penning a 24-page note accusing his wife, Singhania, and her brother of harassment and grave misconduct. Atul’s note also criticized the judiciary, alleging injustices in his personal battles. Cases against Singhania are reportedly ongoing in Bengaluru.

Pramod’s death has raised fresh concerns about the pressures stemming from familial disputes and the lack of support systems for those in distress. Authorities are investigating further to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
