In a shocking incident, a father of a girl child edited a video featuring her and shared it in a WhatsApp group. The incident occurred in the Padubidri region of the Udupi district of Karnataka. The daughter subsequently attempted suicide and had to be admitted to a hopital. The family of the girl is shocked by this development as the father had a reputation of being a social worker. 

The suspect has been identified as Mohammad Asif. He was well known across the region of Udupi. His actions have now negatively impacted his family. 

His daughter was in love with another boy. He had edited the video of his daughter along with that boy and shared it in a WhatsApp group. He is reported to have been in opposition to their relationship. The video in question is supposedly obscene in nature.

Mohammad’s wife Shabnam filed a case pertaining to this incident in the Padubidri Police Station. Mohammad’s daughter was a 2nd year Pre University Course (PUC) student. She apparently attempted suicide by drinking Phenyl. She was admitted to a government hospital in Udupi.
