The Karnataka Bahujana Federation has launched a campaign to award superstar Rajinikanth the prestigious Bharat Ratna, urging the Centre to recognize his significant contributions to Indian cinema. The Federation believes Rajinikanth's impact on the film industry over the past 50 years deserves such recognition. To bolster their cause, the group has initiated a signature campaign, with hundreds of the actor’s supporters joining in.

Rajinikanth, known for his iconic roles and immense popularity, has not only made a lasting impact in the world of cinema but has also engaged in various philanthropic activities. His charitable works have earned him admiration far beyond his fanbase. Among the most vocal supporters of this campaign is Rajinikanth’s own brother, Satya Narayana Rao Gaikwad, who has shown unwavering support for the actor’s recognition.
This campaign is reminiscent of a similar one by the Federation, which previously called for the Bharat Ratna to be awarded to legendary actor Dr. Rajkumar. The Federation continues to champion the cause, citing Rajinikanth’s immense contributions to both the film industry and society at large. With the signature campaign gaining traction, supporters hope to add weight to their appeal for the actor to receive the highest civilian honor in India.
