Karnataka: Film on Nadaprabhu Kempegowda faced with obstacles right at initial stage

The desire to see the story and achievements of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda on the silver screen is present among everyone in Karnataka. In this regard, the shooting of a film was entering its production stage. The film was titled ‘Dharmabeeru Nadaprabhu Kempegowda.’ The first look poster of the film was released. The shooting had commenced.  The film was being helmed by director Dinesh Babu and producer Kiran Thotambilu. 

It has now however been faced with obstacles. An update by producer T.S Nagabharana has shocked people. He has obtained a stay order from a court to halt the shooting. He claims that he would be bringing this story to the screen and has been working on this project for many years. He produced the stay order from a civil court. T.S Nagabharana intends to make a film titled ‘Kempegowda’ with Sandalwood actor Dolly Dhananjay playing the titular character.

Kiran Thotambilu has however affirmed that the film will be shot in both English and Kannada and is being made on a budget of Rs 100 crore. He dispelled fears that the stay order would have any bearing on the film. How this legal battle will eventually be resolved remains to be seen.
