The state government issued significant transfers and promotions of IPS officers to streamline police administration across Karnataka. Several senior officers have been assigned new roles, reflecting a strategic reshuffle.
Raman Gupta has been appointed Additional Commissioner of Police (Intelligence) for Bengaluru City, enhancing the city’s intelligence operations. Vikash Kumar Vikash has taken charge as Inspector General and Additional Commissioner of Police (West), Bengaluru.

Dr. Chetan Singh Rathor has been elevated to Inspector General of Police (Northern Range) in Belagavi, while Amit Singh assumes the role of Inspector General of Police (Western Range), Mangaluru.
Shashi Kumar has been promoted and named Inspector General of Police and Commissioner of Police for Hubli-Dharwad City. Dr. Y.S. Ravi Kumar has been appointed Inspector General of Police (Security Intelligence).
Among other changes, C. Vamsi Krishna will serve as Deputy Inspector General of Police (Recruitment), and Karthik Reddy has been assigned as Deputy Inspector General of Police (Administration) at the State Police Headquarters in Bengaluru.
Sangeetha takes charge as Deputy Inspector General of Police (Forest Cell), Criminal Investigation Department, while Renuka K. Sukumar has been appointed Deputy Inspector General of Police at the Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement, Bengaluru. Kuldeep Kumar R. Jain has been named Joint Commissioner of Police (Administration), Bengaluru City.
The reshuffle is expected to bolster law enforcement across the state.
