In relation to the leaked videos of the Janata Dal (Secular) candidate for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections from Hassan, Prajwal Revanna, the Karnataka State Government has taken an important decision. In light of a letter written by the Karnataka State Commission for Women, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been instituted by the Karnataka State Government. 

In the leaked footage from a pendrive throws light on alleged sexual harassment, recording of the same along with blackmailing. 

Many influential politicians are believed to have been a part of this racket involving many women. The attack on women’s life and dignity is being discussed on social media and news publications. It is being reported that many organisations approached the Karnataka State Commission for Women in demand of appropriate action.

Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah posted an update with regard to this cas on the microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter).  “In relation to the obscene videos of Prajwal Revanna, the government has decided to take appropriate measures. Fragments of these videos have been circulating across Haasan. The first impressions indicate sexual harassment of women. The President of the Karnataka State Commission of Women has written a letter to the State Government in this regard. We have accepted her request and taken this decision,” the post highlighted. 

Meanwhile speculations of Prajwal Revanna having left India and gone to Frankfurt are making rounds.
