Karnataka: How has BJP planned to respond to their MLAs who indulged in cross voting?

The election for the 4 Rajya Sabha seats from Karnataka has come to an end. An unexpected incident happened during the voting process. 2 Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have shocked everyone. The actions of S.T Somashekar and Shivaram Hebbar have angered the BJP. The BJP has planned a response for acting against the whip issue to them. 

S.T Somashekar who was predominantly seen with Congress leaders after the Vidhana Sabha elections has voted in their favour in the Rajya Sabha election. Shivaram Hebbar was absent during the voting process. 

The BJP has approached the speaker U.T Khader with a complaint against the 2 MLAs. They have sought their disqualification. They are also making preparations for a legal battle with regard to their move. It would be interesting to see how the speaker responds to this complaint. 

Were they to resign from their positions, the conflict would not get elongated. This move indicates their ambitions for the Lok Sabha election. There are speculations that their sons are aspiring for Lok Sabha seats. 

The Indian National Congress (INC) emerged victorious after the election. All the 3 candidates that were put in the fray by them have emerged victorious.
