Lokayukta officials raided the residence of DPAR Chief Engineer T.D. Nanjundappa, uncovering massive unaccounted wealth, including gold, silver, cash, foreign currency, luxury cars, and prime real estate.

During the raid, officials seized 841.49 grams of gold worth ₹51.38 lakh and 5,936.5 grams of silver valued at ₹4.66 lakh. Additionally, cash amounting to ₹3.91 lakh and foreign currency worth ₹60,000 were found, bringing the total movable assets to ₹60.56 lakh.
Apart from cash and valuables, officials discovered four luxury cars valued at ₹39 lakh parked on the premises. Further investigation revealed two houses with an estimated worth of ₹5 crore, adding to the scale of suspected disproportionate assets.
The Lokayukta’s action is part of a broader crackdown on corrupt officials across the state, targeting those accused of amassing wealth beyond their known income sources. The properties and valuables have been seized as officials verify documents to determine the legitimacy of the assets.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are expected to take further action based on the findings. With corruption cases surfacing frequently, the Lokayukta continues its stringent operations to root out financial irregularities in government offices.
