The Lokayukta conducted a raid at the residence of Tippeswamy, the Director of Town and Planning, as part of an investigation into corruption allegations. Led by SP Srinath Joshi, the raid took place early in the morning at 7 AM, with a team of officials examining documents and assets at Tippeswamy’s home. An interesting twist during the raid was the presence of Tippeswamy’s daughter, who was preparing for her college. Despite the seemingly routine nature of the situation, the officials also checked her personal belongings, including her bag. In a further move of scrutiny, they photographed the meter reading of her vehicle, likely to assess its ownership and usage.

This raid is part of the Lokayukta's ongoing efforts to crack down on corruption among public officials. The findings have raised questions about the source of wealth accumulated by Tippeswamy and his family, as the Lokayukta continues its investigation into the extent of his alleged illicit activities.
