The Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha was conducted on January 22nd. The person who excavated the rock for the statue of Ram Lalla has however faced troubles. He has been fined Rs 80,000.
The person has been identified as Srinivas. Srinivas is a resident of the Gujjegowdanapura village in the Harohalli taluka of the Mysuru district of Karnataka. He claimed to have pawned his wife’s jewellery in order to pay the amount.
Land owner Ramdas is reported to have given Srinivas the contract to excavate the rock from underneath the ground. Srinivas completed the task given to him. However officials who inspected the place fined him Rs 80,000 over allegations of mining. “I had to pledge the jewellery on the very day the Varalakshmi festival is being celebrated. The rock has now taken the form of Ram Lalla. No one has helped me. For having excavated the rock, my troubles are unending. I am looking forward to assistance from any of the entities invested in the cause.,” Srinivas said. Srinivas broke down to tears while recollecting the ordeal he has had to go through.
