Karnataka achieved an impressive milestone in property conveyance, recording a historic day with 26,000 property registrations and a revenue collection of Rs 311 crore in just one day.

The city of Bengaluru played a significant role, contributing Rs 218 crore through the registration of 7,300 properties, marking the highest single-day revenue collection ever witnessed by the department.

The entire registration process was efficiently managed through the utilization of the Kaveri-2 software, ensuring swift processing. The government commended the department’s staff for their dedication and the successful implementation of this technological advancement.

To put this achievement in perspective, on a typical day, the department processes 8,000 to 10,000 property registrations, resulting in a revenue of Rs 70-80 crore. Officials from the stamps and registration department emphasized that this single-day collection stands as a monumental record in the department’s 157-year history.

Krishna Byregowda, the revenue minister, expressed his gratitude to all the department’s employees for their extraordinary accomplishment.

In preparation for the upcoming revision in guidance values starting from October 1, subregistrar offices have extended their working hours from 8 am to 8 pm, leading to a surge in activity at all registration offices.

The introduction of the Kaveri-2 software streamlined the property registration process, allowing for registrations to be completed in less than 10-15 minutes.

Krishna Byregowda affirmed the government’s support for the implementation of Kaveri-2, underscoring how the adoption of technology has propelled the government to new heights. The software’s remarkable ability to handle such a substantial workload showcases its tremendous potential.
