Karnataka: Mother exemplifies selflessness as she okays organ-donation of braindead 11-year-old son

A 11-year-old boy named Karthik, studying in grade 4, underwent a nose surgery at a private hospital in Chitradurga, Karnataka. As a follow-up treatment, he was sent to another private hospital in Bengaluru.

But unfortunately, the treatment didn’t bear fruit. He passed away. However, even in this adversity, his mother Chetana used it as an opportunity to gift life to others as she okayed his organ donation. She is a teacher by profession and decided to see other kids live. 

The child had suffered brain death.
